Privacy Policy

Life's Capsule is operated by Showtime Ventures. This policy explains what information the Life's Capsule app collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Life's Capsule holds personal things — medical details, family photos, recorded voices, messages meant for people you love. We treat them accordingly.

Information we collect

You give us: your name and email address when you create an account; emergency and medical information you choose to enter; emergency contacts; photos, videos, and audio you upload; narration text you write; a voice recording if you set up a cloned narration voice.

Collected automatically: device type, operating system, app version, general region based on IP address, crash reports, and basic usage events such as which features you open.

Purchases are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your card number.

How we use it

To create and maintain your account, store your capsules and make them available to you and the people you share them with, display your emergency information when your capsule is accessed, generate your memoir films, process purchases, send account emails, provide support, fix crashes, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content for advertising.

AI processing

Some features send your content to outside providers so they can be created:

• Photos you add to a memoir film are sent to Cutout.pro to be animated.
• Narration text is sent to ElevenLabs to be turned into spoken audio.
• If you set up a cloned voice, your voice recording is sent to ElevenLabs to create a voice model tied to your account. We use it only to narrate your own films. You can delete it at any time.

We also use providers for cloud hosting, email delivery, crash reporting, and payments. None of them are permitted to use your content to train their own models.

Sharing and QR codes

Your capsules are private to your account. Content becomes visible to someone else only when you share it — by inviting them to your circle, or through a QR code you have placed somewhere. You control what you put in a capsule and where that code goes, so only add information you are comfortable having seen by whoever holds it. You can remove someone from your circle at any time.

Once you export or download a film, that copy is outside our control.

We never make a capsule public or searchable.

Other people in your capsules

Your capsules will include other people. You are responsible for having the right to upload their photos, videos, voices, and stories. If you appear in someone else's capsule and want it removed, email us and we will work with the account holder.

Age

Life's Capsule is for users 18 and older.

How long we keep things

We keep your account and your capsules for as long as your account is open — the point of the product is that things stay put. When you delete your account, we delete your content, including any cloned voice. Backup copies may take up to 90 days to fully clear. We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires.

We do not automatically transfer your account to anyone. If you want specific people to have access to your capsules later, add them to your circle while your account is active.

Your choices

You can view and edit your content in the app at any time. You can delete your account and everything in it under Settings → Account → Delete Account. You can revoke camera, photo, microphone, and notification permissions in your device settings. Promotional emails include an unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to how it is processed. Email us and we will handle it within the time the law allows.

Security

We encrypt your information in transit and at rest and limit employee access to what is necessary. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

International

We are based in the United States and store information on servers in the United States. If you use Life's Capsule from elsewhere, your information is transferred here.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and let you know in the app or by email.
